Commissioning a piece provides the opportunity to create something entirely unique to you and your space.
Being an independent creative business, it affords the time to connect personally with clientele and to observe the space. In doing so, concepts can be shared and ideas tailored to suit the needs of the living environment.
In addition, materials can be carefully selected and hand picked, providing greater scope to create a unique work.
Ross personally attends to client meetings; in doing so, you are in direct contact with the designer and maker of your work.
Finances are an integral part of any work - Ross will work with you to achieve the best results within the budget.
Initially, concepts and indication of costs will be presented. Alterations can be made at this stage, before final drawings and a costings are submitted for approval. Work commences, where you are welcome at any stage to observe the piece in construction, or photos can be requested.
Delivery and installation if necessary is attended to by Ross, as well the intricacies and workings of the piece shown.
Commissioning terms. A design fee of 10% is required once the initial concepts have been discussed, whereupon final drawing, time & cost estimates will then be presented for approval. Once signed off, a 50% deposit is taken where work can commence in earnest. Depending on the size of the work, further payments may be requested with detailed photographic reports. The remaining 50% is due upon completion where delivery and installation will be arranged.
